Pleasantville The Band to Release their Debut Album THESE EMBERS at The Pleasantville Music Festival on Saturday, July 12th!
January 21, 2025 – Pleasantville, NY: Pleasantville The Band is thrilled to announce they will be performing live at the 19th Annual Pleasantville Music Festival on July 12, 2025 for their debut album release, THESE EMBERS.
Pleasantville is the electrifying new band created by indie rocker, songwriter and Pleasantville, NY resident Aaron David Gleason and his collaborator, esteemed vocalist Emma Freeman.
Singles from THESE EMBERS have already received a host of critical acclaim, with features in Rolling Stone magazine (named One of 10 Bands to Look Out For), Westchester Magazine and WFUV. In THESE EMBERS Aaron shares his emotional journey dealing with pandemic-related trauma, as well as his wry observations on life which have become a hallmark of his songwriting. When Aaron and Emma come together, they bring a set of nine new mini-existential crises to song…in the best possible way!
THESE EMBERS was written and recorded in Atlanta, Georgia at Big Trouble studios and produced by Daniel Gleason of Grouplove fame and mixed by TJ Elias. With music videos shot by Jeremiah Kipp in Pleasantville, NY the album galvanizes the band’s mission and sound – to pay homage to local roots, while looking ahead to a bright future.
Pleasantville was the first act to be announced for this summer’s 19th annual Pleasantville Music Festival.

“Being a part of the Pleasantville Music Festival is a dream come true,” shares Gleason. “Pleasantville is my home. It’s where I almost lost my house to a flood during the pandemic, and the place that gives me the courage to move forward with my life and career.”
Each year, thousands of friends, families and lovers of live, world-class music, set out their chairs, blankets and tents in Pleasantville, NY’s Parkway Field for an incredible day of community fun. Food and drink, beer & wine for adults, fun performances and activities to keep the kids happy, and a zero-waste program to keep the Earth happy give the Festival a warm, positive backyard vibe.
